Residence Ermitage

For the Ermitage residence in Ostend, RAM took care of the complete façade renovation and the necessary structural repairs.
We started by carefully protecting the windows, terraces and roof areas, ensuring the site could be managed safely and efficiently. Our team then got to work on the ring beams: each beam was inspected, reinforced and, where necessary, completely renewed. Concrete rot was discovered in several places, which we thoroughly treated and repaired.

Once the structural works were completed, we moved on to the façade finishing. The damaged joints were ground out and renewed, and the façade underwent intensive high-pressure cleaning to prepare the surface perfectly for painting. We then applied a three-layer coating system — primer, quartz layer and topcoat — for a durable and even finish. At the same time, we also took care of detailed work, such as installing pigeon spikes and cleaning the downpipes.

After the final coat of paint, we fully cleaned the site and removed all protective coverings and rope access installations.

The result is a fresh, sleekly finished and sustainably protected façade that will last for many years to come.
